This photo looks like it was ripped right out of a 1970's album. I love the grain. Taken last Tuesday night at the Rocks where we ended up with 5 all different and all cool Z's.
These images were floating around the internet not long ago and I just got around to posting them. They are concept so please don't ask me where you can get the body kit.
I particularly love the front spoiler. Would go well with a certain black cowl bonnet that's sitting in my garage... The doors are interesting and I really do love how the door handles have been incorporated. I can't say I'm a big fan of the roof or the rear although the rear guards are nice and fat without seeming out of place as so many widebody 240's in the States are.

Click here for a bonus montage I made. Will suit a wide screen monitor well.
Well I have gone and found myself yet another car, though this one sort of found a friend and me through him.
He had been telling me of this FE Holden (yeah another Holden) that he had seen now and then sitting out front of this guys' place that didnt move much and looked clean enough from the road.
As it also turns out a mate of mine had been asking me to sell goldie to him for a while and I thought it over and the fact that I still have a lot to do to the hatch sort of made my mind up and if someone was going to get it I'm more then happy for him to as he is like an older brother to me. I told him how much and that was that so it's now his.
So I was on the lookout for something old and most cars that take my eye are stockish and look a little aged. I called the workshop that my mate had said this FE was next to and they knew the guy and gave me his number. Had a quick chat and he said he would sell and what he wanted for it. So I told him I wanted to come check it out as it had only been see through my mates eyes from the road. He was fine with that and I headout at night to check it out.
Well it had some rust.....ok it had a little more then some, but it dam took me in its sad state, dirty and paint without any clear coat left to speak of and yeah I fell for it. Most places it's got rust isn't a big deal, only in the skin, the floor and subframe was clean as and it looked like it had sat around for a long time. Trim looked great and it just had style and as it turns out the frontend was rebuilt, new springs and shocks and brakes as well... but the sitting around hasn't helped them much. Even the trusty 132 gray was rebuilt.
So the deal was done and it's now mine and the best part was getting it home with no rego and a good hour plus in that ahead of me (stock 132 and 3speed with non assited brakes that either don't work or lock... a lot of fun I tell you and I mean it, I had a ball getting back).
It was all going good untill it started to cut out....well I knew it was either fuel or air with this sort of engine and I had a good mate with me helping out. Strange part was it would die then start and run fine then just die, didnt even feel like it was fuel as it was like someone cut the power, we thought crap in the tank had passed into the carb so we crossed the leads over... the damn thing wouldnt even backfire!!! I dont mean just one we did three and it wouldn't... anyways it was about the 3rd time it did it but it started again and ran fine. I got under the car and found the fuel fillter that looked brand new now looked unhappy with the amout of rust it was holding. Problem found and sorted by fitting engine bay race tank... nice and light... ok it was a 2L juice bottle, we split the line and stuck it in and it got me home.
So all in all I got myself a new toy that's to be my daily driver so nothing silly anymore and all I want to do is clean it up and drive it.
It appears WA cops have a more relaxed attitude when it comes to doing donuts. The sirens was a nice touch.
According to news.com.au an investigation is being conducted to find out who the driver was but the video is likely to be around six month to 4 years old as the numbers on the car have been assigned to a 4 wheel drive.
Yeah going well, almost got all the parts I need, just suspension bits left to buy. All of the panels have been removed, blasted and primed. (roof and rear quarters included). Should start putting it back together very soon. I also ordered a new car back in November but I won't get it until Feb or March.
